FAQs

Employees can select from Rutgers's numerous professional development training, or training offered through another learning institute. After each professional development training, a reflection form will be required to ensure accurate competency skills.

The learning path will offer two micro-credentials components. The first is earned after completing the professional training and participation levels, with the second earned after community outreach.

The DEIA Learning Subcommittee will review DEIA education that meets the competencies detailed under the Professional Workshops level on a case-by-case basis. A Competency Reflection Sheet must be completed for every subject matter (dated back to 2020).

While we feel any employee who has completed the DoCS DEIA Learning Path will bring a wealth of knowledge to the DEIA committee, we recognize that not all staff, due to job responsibilities, will be able to participate in the DEIA Committee.

You can complete a reflection form for review and request up to a maximum of 30 minutes which will count toward your 5 DoCS culture-specific hours.

We encourage staff to complete the levels in order detailed in our learning path.
